Anyway, I just want to share with you some of my favorite websites to obtain some high-quality typefaces that you can immediately start using on your projects. By the way, a lot of the free fonts on these sites can also be used for @font-face implementation as well.

Jos Buivenga has extended Anivers to the Anivers family which now comes in regular, italic, bold and small caps and has some nice OpenType features. However, only Anivers regular is free. To download the free Regular you have to register at MyFonts.com. The rest of the family can be purchased on MyFonts.

Jos Buivenga has updated the old freefont Fertigo and has now called it Fertigo Pro. Fertigo Pro is still free. Important changes are extended language support (more than 150 glyphs added), improved glyph shapes, 10 added ornaments/dingbats and improved metrics and kerning. Languages now (fully) supported: Latin, Central European, Croatian, Romanian, Icelandic, Turkish, Esperanto.

Conglomerfont is a free font created by Jay Hilgert (BittBox) and the design community from all over the world. Jay asked people to send individual letters to his inbox, and I coagulated the submissions into a single font, hence the name, Conglomerfont.

Birra arose from years of compulsive doodling in pen and ink, and conjures the whimsy and syncopated contrast of novelty handlettering in the early 20th century. Birra Stout is a free font, made available by Darden Studio (registration is required).

Now that you have visited these websites and have downloaded lots of free fonts, you need to learn how to use these fonts wisely. Here are some great articles that you should read to get you started on good web typography.

Looking for the best free fonts? There are a lot of free fonts out there but finding the best or high-quality fonts that you can use for your design projects is not an easy task. Designers actually spend (or shall we say waste?) too much time looking for free yet high-quality fonts every now and then. Not because it is hard to find free fonts but more so of the fact that there are already enormous options that finding what we need is like finding a needle in a haystack.

So, to save you time which you should be spending doing your projects and at the same time narrow down your options, we decided to share what we think are the best free fonts that every designer should have. For easy browsing, we organized the fonts according to serif, sans-serif, and display fonts. If you wish to collect more free fonts, check out also our roundup of free script fonts.

First in our list of best free fonts is Calluna, a serious serif type with interesting details. This font is ideal as body text for your layout such as books, brochures, flyers, etc. Calluna comes in 8 fonts: Light, Regular, Regular-Italic, Semibold-Italic, Bold-Italic, and Black. However, only the regular is absolutely free.

Another of these best free fonts is Fontin, a serif font suitable for small sizes. Thus, you may use it as body text for a book layout or in any block of texts. This free font is available in Roman, italic, bold and small caps. The color is darkish, the spacing loose and the x-height tall.

Fertigo Pro is a quality font that you may download and use for free. The Pro version features some important changes from its previous release (Fertigo). These include language support in Latin, Central European, Croatian, Romanian, Icelandic, Turkish, Esperanto, etc. Fertigo Pro comes in 2 fonts: a regular and italic. The regular is absolutely free.

This free sans-serif family is available in Open Type format and in three different weights: Extra Light, Regular and Bold. This free font is ideal as both body or copy texts as well as titles or headlines.

These best free fonts are great for display and body copy texts. What stands out about this font is its large x-height and constant line weight. Nearly all letters bend with a continuous unfaltering style, giving the impression all letters are cast from the same mold. Available in 2 weights but only the demo version is free.

A high-quality reconstruction of the 1990s freeware classic, Dream Orphans. The old-style g is still available as an Open Type alternate as well as a new, simple g. Only the regular font is free to download.

Haymer is modern yet characterful and is ideal for use as a text family, online and wherever instant easy readability is required. An extensive family is offered, in four weights but only the petite capitals light can be downloaded for free.

A new display sans serif with an unusual construction: curved lines on the outside with only a few straight lines on the inside. The resulting typeface shows a great deal of tension and dynamics. Preferably, it should be used at larger sizes, at smaller sizes only for special effects. Available in 10 different weights but only the regular is free to download.

After being released, many designers adopt this best due to its good alternatives to one of the highly used fonts Futura font. Nunito font is also another the closest font to the Avenir Next font. This typeface comes in a huge 52 styles and 10 weights from regular to Heavy and its matching italics. So, why are wasting time, just get this amazing font from our website and get started with the usage of for your upcoming projects

This typeface is totally free for personal use. From the given link, you can free download it on your operating systems. In the case of commercial purposes, purchase the license of this typeface and make it useful in your graphic designs.

In 4 weights (and italics), the 8 font Klinic Slab family is one of the most comprehensive releases from Lost Type Co-Op. A contemporary, versatile Slab Serif, Klinic is a workhorse that marries personality and functionality. The typeface was created by Joe Prince, a graphic designer that specializes in logo and typography design.

He is the founder of exljbris, the one-man Dutch font foundry through which he releases and offers his typefaces. For 15 years, his online friends and fans could follow the development of his typefaces and download the results at no cost. In 2008, while still working as an art director at an advertising agency, he released his first commercial typeface Museo with several weights offered for free. That strategy paid off and Museo became a huge bestseller. Partly thanks to that success he now calls himself a full time type designer. Recent projects include a custom version of Museo & Museo Sans for Dell and the Questa project, a collaboration with the well-known type designer Martin Majoor.

First of all I want to say thank you very much for sharing your work. Your free fonts are just absolutely professional and nice looking, much more than some other non-free fonts I have to say. (at least thats my opinion). Im a huge fan of sans serif fonts and yours are among my all time faves.

Great fonts! I downloaded the free fronts to try out before purchasing the other weights. I like Museo and Diavlo very much. Now, I was wondering if I can use these fonts along with cufon for my website. I thought I should check with you first regarding the legalities.
